Lighting Control
Great lighting is invisible. You do not walk into a well-lit room and admire the fixtures, you simply feel calm, or awake, or unhurried, and you never quite know why. That feeling is designed.
We approach lighting control the way an architect approaches daylight: as a material. Working alongside your architect, interior designer, and lighting designer, we plan circuits, dimming curves, and control layouts before a single wall is closed, so that the finished home has warmth exactly where it should and darkness where it should have darkness.
The result is a house with one clean keypad where there would otherwise be six switches, and light that changes through the day without being asked.

Mornings that begin gently
Lights rise slowly with you rather than snapping on at full brightness. Warm, low, and quiet at six in the morning; bright and clear by the time you are in the kitchen.

These are the decisions that determine whether the finished result feels deliberate or approximate, and most of them are made long before installation.

We plan the light, then the load
Circuiting decisions get made room by room against how the space is used, not by grouping whatever happens to be nearby. This is the difference between a scene that looks composed and one that looks approximate.

Dimming quality is not optional
Cheap dimming buzzes, flickers at low levels, and shifts color unpredictably across fixtures. We specify drivers and dimming modules to match the fixtures your designer selected, and we test them together before the ceiling closes.

Keypads are joinery, not hardware
Placement, engraving, finish, and gang count are coordinated with your designer so keypads sit correctly within the architecture, and so nobody has to guess what a button does.

Daylight is part of the system
Lighting and shading are designed as one. Rooms hold a consistent, comfortable level through the day as daylight rises and falls, without anyone reaching for anything.

What is the difference between smart bulbs and a lighting control system?
Smart bulbs are individual products you manage app by app; a lighting control system replaces the switching and dimming infrastructure of the house itself. In a fine home the difference shows up in reliability, dimming quality, and the wall, a control system gives you engraved keypads, silent flicker-free dimming across every fixture type, and scenes that behave identically every time.
Do you install Lutron lighting control in Atlanta?
Yes. Lutron lighting control is central to most of the homes we design for across the Atlanta metro and North Georgia, and we coordinate directly with architects, builders, and lighting designers from the earliest planning stages.
Can lighting control be added to an existing home?
Often, yes. Retrofit systems can work over existing wiring or wirelessly, which makes them well suited to finished homes and renovations. The scope depends on your current wiring and the level of control you want, that is one of the first things we assess during a consultation.
When should lighting control be planned in a new build?
As early as possible, ideally during design development and well before rough-in. Lighting layout, circuiting, and keypad locations affect framing and electrical, so decisions made early cost nothing and decisions made late can be expensive.
